Поначалу Медвежий патруль пытался прогнать медведя подальше от села, но тот упрямо возвращался. Медведь быстро понял «правила»: он живет на мысу и не пытается проникнуть в село, а его в ответ ни кто не трогает.За несколько дней Кожевников принял «правильные» округлые очертания. Сказался нездоровый образ жизни: прием обильной пищи сменяется сном и так далее. Временами медведь так наедался, что с трудом передвигался по берегу...

Так он и живет здесь уже почти 2 месяца. Люди уже привыкли, что он обитает рядом и между собой называют его Мистер Кожевников. Но самое интересное, патрульные обратили внимание, что этот белый медведь, поправившись в весе, стал похожим на медведя, который приходил в прошлом году. Может быть это старый знакомый?

По поверьям чукчей, если медведь спокойно ведет себя возле людских поселений, значит, в него вселилась душа человека, который раньше жил здесь…

Thus the bear lives here almost 2 months. People get used to its presence and have named him Mr. Kozhevnikov. And most interesting thing is that the cape guardians noticed that getting “round” shape Mr. Kozhevnikov looks like the bear that visited the cape a year ago. May be this is the same animal?
